Hackman Elegia (Finland)

Hackman Elegia (Finland)
love_yellow has added a photo to the pool: Hackman Elegia (Finland) My sweet mother-in-law (from Finland) gave us this cutlery set as a wedding gift in 1995. They are our "everyday" set so you can see they're well used and loved.

Better pictures of this pattern can be found on the Hackman site.

The design is modern, a little 80s perhaps and don't really match our dishes that well, but I love them so it doesn't really matter. I'm not into the matchy matchy anyway. :-) They are functional for sure, the quality is top notch, and still look good after 13+ years of use.

Designer is Ahti Majuri:
”I want to create honest and practical products, with just a smidgeon of design as seasoning. Too much decoration in the design takes us off-course. We must keep in mind that the goal is to create practical domestic utensils”, says Ahti Majuri. He is the designer of many successful Hackman products, such as Hackminna and Elegia. Ahti Majuri has also designed coffee pots and cooking pans.
